Henry's Ribs on the Run

When 11 am approaches, there's usually an announcement at the Olney Farmers Market that Henry has arrived in his white truck. Henry's Ribs on the Run provides delicious barbeque ribs and cooked chicken. When he's not at the market, Henry is selling from his Spencerville home, which is where Olney Farmers Market founder Janet Terry first met this grilling genius. The Sherwood High School graduate and former full-time truck driver offers half a rack or a full rack of ribs and whole or half chickens. Henry's ribs are so tasty and tender that one marketgoer was overhead saying, "I'd follow him to the end of the earth for his ribs!" When he's not at the market Henry is often catering everything from little league football games to family reunions. Come see Henry and Mary serving out their famous ribs and chicken at the white truck from 11 am to 1 pm at the Olney Farmers Market.

SHEA RADIANCE AT OLNEY FARMERS MARKET

When Funlayo Alabi’s sons had problems with dry skin and baby exzema, she and her husband started making natural skincare products using unrefined shea butter. Now Shea Radiance is a family-owned luxury natural bath and body company based in Ellicott City, Maryland. They blend aromatherapy and botanical extracts with shea butter to create a moisturizer and healing balm.

Shea butter, also known as Butyrospermum parkii, is extracted from the nuts that come from the shea tree. Shea trees grow in the Sahel belt of West Africa which includes countries like Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria. Shea trees have been around for centuries and are uncultivated. According to Funlayo, as a result of their ancient origin and the fact that man has not yet found a way to grow shea trees, all shea trees and their subsequent products are free of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers and other toxic substances.

Visit their website, wwwshearadiance.com, for more information on their products. Come see Funlayo at her booth at the Olney Farmers Market!  Sample her products and learn more about the healing effects of shea butter.
